SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 38

Redd, Boley, Minear, Sprouse and Tomblin, Mr. President)
Congratulating Kathleen Jeanne Ellis Eddy on her selection as West
Virginia Mother of the Year 2000.
Whereas, Kathleen Eddy is married to her beloved husband, Gary
Eddy, with whom she has shared the joy of having two sons; and
Whereas, For twenty-seven years, Kathleen Eddy has been a
member of Vista, the National Education Association and the
Marshall County Education Association; and
Whereas, Kathleen Eddy is actively involved with the Parent-
Teachers Association, the West Virginia Mountaineer Parents Club,
the Marshall County Animal Rescue League's "Kids Inspired to Do
Nice Deeds" program and volunteer work at Reynolds Memorial
Hospital; and
Whereas, Kathleen Eddy serves with the John Marshall High
School Football Moms, the Governor's Institute on Education and has
been selected as the Teacher of the Year for Marshall County; and
Whereas, Kathleen Eddy has been listed in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers", and is a member of the Delta Zeta National
Sorority; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates Kathleen Jeanne Ellis
Eddy of Glen Dale, Marshall County, on her selection as West
Virginia Mother of Year for 2000; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Senate hereby expresses its sincere
appreciation for her dedication and commitment to the volunteer
services she performs in her community; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to Kathleen Jeanne Ellis Eddy.
